One® Goes International
Management
One® is practicing what it preaches and growing
its business. The Management One® name and products
are now going to be offered to businesses overseas in
Ireland and the United Kingdom. Sean Curtis, president
of Curtis Consulting headquartered in Dublin, will be
the Country Manager for Management One¨ in these
locations. A stellar group of Irish affiliates were
trained in Dublin this past month at the Winning@Business™
process. Training for implementing Winning@Retail™
is scheduled to take place in October for additional
affiliates and for the present affiliates there who
wish to expand into this realm of consulting. Management
One¨ - USA is excited about the great potential
to help businesses abroad. Curtis, in turn, says he
is impressed with the M1 products "because results
are measured and quantified, and the emphasis is on
successful implementation."
Here's
to Ireland!
Above Average
Most
executives and owners consider their staff to be above
average. Statistical analysis would leave one wondering
where all those "below average" workers are
employed. Studies have shown that most managers fall
into one of four categories. 1] Thirty percent are procrastinators
who intend to accomplish a lot but never quite get around
to most of it. 2] The unfocused dynamos account for
another forty percent. These people are always busy
but they too get little accomplished. Unfortunately,
this is the largest grouping of managers studied. 3]
Another twenty percent of managers are burned out. They
just don't care anymore. They have tried and been frustrated,
beaten and denied to the point they will put in their
eight hours, do the minimum and wait to retire. 4] The
last group, only ten percent, are energetic, focused
and hardworking. Hopefully, these are the most experienced
and knowledgeable too.
Management
One® uses Winning@-Business™ to improve the
averages for clients. When thirty to forty percent of
the managers and staff are energetic and focused on
creating meaningful change in your business, the company
is able to achieve the returns on consulting expenditures
that Management One® clients see.
Are You in Shape for the 4th
Quarter?
Think
back to that "To Do" list you created at the
beginning of 2004. It was designed to accomplish everything
you wanted to get done within the year. We are into
the home stretch and now is the time to look back and
review what has gone well and what has not. Congratulations
if you are well on your way to achieving your goals.
If not, it is not too late to get started. Here is a
simple plan to get you back on track:
STEP
1 - Prioritize the list. Grade each item: "A"
= Must do "B" = Should do "C" =
Not needed. "A" items must be do-able, crucial
and measurable.
STEP 2 - Write down the measurements.
STEP 3 - Share the list with your team. Get everyone's
input. Brainstorm.
STEP 4 - Through consensus, create an action plan.
STEP 5 - Implement the plan.
STEP 6 - Follow up and review the measurables.
STEP 7 - Once you succeed, go back to step 4 and begin
work on "B" items.
If
you find yourself unsure on how to get into shape, contact
Management One®. Your affiliate will help you and
your organization deal with change, solve problems and
introduce you to new ways to profitably grow your business.

"We
should take care not to make the intellect our god;
it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality."
